Globe and Mail Best Blog Award

Normally on Fridays, I post a weekly round up I call Best of Blogs but this week I find myself the winner of the Globe and Mail’s Best Canadian Personal Finance Blog.   This is a real honor for me and it’s important that I thank my group of loyal readers and followers for their votes and support.

I think it’s also important to acknowledge all the other blogs and bloggers that were nominated. I was in great company and have a high level of respect for every blog on the list.

Welcome to Retire Happy

The contest has really increased traffic and awareness to the site and many of my other sites.  I’d like to thank all the recent people who have followed me on twitterfacebook or through RSS feeds.  I would also like to welcome those that have signed up for my monthly newsletter.

Lot’s of content on Retire Happy.

When it comes to writing, I’m definitely not new.  Not only have I written over a thousand articles from the past 12 years, but I have also written 5 books and numberous e-books, special reports and newsletters.

If you are here for the first time, there is no shortage of information.  The easiest way to find content is to use the search bar in the upper right hand corner of the site and you will see that there is something for everyone.

You can also use my archive page to see a big listing of all the content organized by category.  It’s a big list!

You can also fast track content by going to the bottom of my home page where I have filtered our some of my top picks from my site.

Whatever you are looking for, I hope you find it here.

Keeping in touch

If you haven’t done so already, there are lots of ways to stay connected with me:

  • You could follow me on twitter.
  • You could like my FACEBOOK Page at the bottom right of this site.
  • You could sign up for my monthy email newsletter which you get an email per month highlighting the best articles of the month.

A commitment to quality

For the past 15 years, I’ve operated on the belief that to educate people properly on retirement, investing and personal finance, you have to provide good timeless information.  Given the contest results, I think other appreciate this philosophy.  I will continue to do my best to post two new articles every week.  I look forward to sharing future articles with you.

  2. Very well done Jim!

An incredible honour and given everything you’re sharing with Joe and Jane Canadian in terms of financial education, this award is very much deserved.

Keep up the great articles on wealth building, debt reduction and financial planning.
